What a splendid weekend! Firstly... Congratulations to Captain Sideards for organising such a successful festival.
And to think that it nearly didn't happen atall for DM! 3 of us (me, Jules and Fluxy) had terrible colds and on Friday we were laid up in bed with temperatures! We drove through the rain on Sat morning but as we crossed onto Mersea Island the sun came out.
We had a great time in a lovely location, complete with a sandy beach and sunshine. It was like being on holiday. How did you manage to negotiate, Si, that whilst the rest of the country was deluged with rain that Mersea Island would be allowed it's own sunny microclimate?!
We had a terrific time (inspite of our colds!) and played to a great crowd on the MyChoonz Stage on Saturday night. DubJubbleys did some excelllent projections for us. Big thanx to Matt and Nick. Thanks also to Stuart who - as always - did a great job on the sound.
My own personal highlight was watching Kev & Trev perform on Sunday morning, which was hugely entertaining. They make a fantastic double act. Seeing is believeing! In the evening ZubZub played to a packed crowd on the club stage. It was another wonderful audience and we really could not ask for more. A big thank you to everyone who supported us over the weekend. It was great to meet so many new people and reconnect with those we hadn't seen for years.
Dear Friends thank you for all your support was great to see you all and share this lovely moment..
